Rock Art of the Western Desert & Great Basin

COMPLETED

Project Overview

This project explored the nature of graphic and stylistic responses to changing environment over time in the Western Desert of Australia. It sought global understandings of arid-zone hunter-gatherer behaviours by undertaking similar studies of prehistoric rock art production in the Great Basin, USA.

This project was funded from 2012 – 2015.
