Rock Art of the Western Desert & Great Basin

Long Term Social Responses to Environmental Change

Project Overview

This project explores the nature of graphic and stylistic responses to changing environment over time in the Western Desert of Australia. It seeks global understandings of arid-zone hunter-gatherer behaviours by undertaking similar studies of prehistoric rock art production in the Great Basin, USA.
