Long Term Social Responses to Environmental Change
This project explores the nature of graphic and stylistic responses to changing environment over time in the Western Desert of Australia. It seeks global understandings of arid-zone hunter-gatherer behaviours by undertaking similar studies of prehistoric rock art production in the Great Basin, USA.
This ARC Funded Future Fellowship (FT100100206) is with partner organisation University of California (Berkeley) and collaborators Bureau of Land Management (CA), Dave Whitley and Mark Giambastiani (ASM), Nicholas Pay (BLM), Mark Basgall (CSUS), Greg Haverstock (BLM), David Lee and Tom Origer (CA).
