Writer's picture: CRAR+MCRAR+M

Work has continued on the analysis of the Pahranagat Valley rock art, with a focus on the style and distribution of the Patterned Body Anthropomorphs (PBAs) around Lincoln County, Nevada.

As well as going back to Shooting Gallery to record in detail examples of this motif, we recorded more of this motif type at The Gathering and at Black Canyon: two areas outside the area studied previously for BLM.

Here we worked with Nicholas Pay (BLM). On this trip to the USA, Jo presented a paper on the project at the Great Basin Anthropological Conference in Reno, as well as giving a Brown Bag presentation at UC Berkeley’s Archaeological Research Facility on the results of the project.
